Erica Mokay is an American anchor who currently co-anchors the morning news on KDKA alongside John Shumway from 7 am to 9 am. She joined the KDKA news team in October 2022.
Prior to her role at KDKA, Mokay garnered valuable experience as a journalist, serving as a “Gal in Kalamazoo” in Ohio and West Virginia before returning to her hometown. With over a decade of experience in television news, Erica is dedicated to keeping viewers informed.
Her commitment to excellence in journalism has earned her a regional Emmy nomination. She has covered significant national stories, including the tragic shooting on the campus of Michigan State University, the catastrophic train derailment in East Palestine, and the rollout of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine from its West Michigan facility.
