Amanda Houston (born 8 April 1980) is a British weather presenter and DJ, best known for her work with ITV Weather. Originally from Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, she moved to Newcastle upon Tyne at the age of 19, where she began her media career as an editorial assistant for the Evening Chronicle and a freelance journalist for the Metro newspaper. She also worked as a DJ and radio presenter during this time.
In August 2008, Houston became the main weather presenter for ITV Anglia. By October 2013, she relocated to London, where she began presenting weather forecasts across various ITV plc regions in England, Wales, and the Channel Islands. Since April 2014, she has been a regular face on ITV’s national weather forecasts.
Outside of broadcasting, Amanda is also a certified yoga and mindfulness teacher. She is a stepmother to two sons, born in 1999 and 2001.
