Ann Marie LaFlamme Biography
Ann Marie LaFlamme (born August 12, 1987) is an American Emmy Award–winning journalist. She previously served as a morning anchor and reporter at WXYZ-TV (7 Action News) in Detroit, Michigan. LaFlamme worked at the station for approximately five years before departing in March 2020.
Before joining WXYZ, LaFlamme worked at WXMI-TV (FOX 17) in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she anchored and reported news coverage. During her time there, she was a key contributor to the weekly investigative segment West Michigan’s Most Wanted.
LaFlamme began her journalism career in Detroit at CBS/CW50 as a community correspondent and intern. She later joined 9&10 News as a general assignment reporter, where she was eventually promoted to anchor.
In addition to her on-air work, LaFlamme has been recognized for her community advocacy. She received the Children Advocate Award from Orchard Children’s Services Champions for her efforts to recruit guardian parents and help place Michigan children with families unable to care for them.
