Danielle Wiggins is an Emmy-award-winning American television journalist who serves as an anchor and reporter for WKYC-TV (3News), the NBC affiliate in Cleveland, Ohio. She joined the station in September 2013, initially serving as a morning traffic reporter before advancing into multi-platform anchor roles and on-air reporting across the station’s newscasts, including the *GO! morning show and digital segments.
Wiggins was born and raised in Northeast Ohio and graduated from Bedford High School. She earned both a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and a Master’s degree in Media Management from Kent State University. Before joining WKYC, she worked behind the scenes and on-air in television, radio, and digital media, including as the main producer and correspondent for The Regina Brett Show on WKSU, Northeast Ohio’s NPR affiliate.
At WKYC, Danielle co-created, hosted, and produced the Rising initiative, a feature series highlighting inspiring stories of Northeast Ohio residents overcoming adversity. For this work, she won a regional Emmy and a Salute to Excellence Award from the National Association of Black Journalists.
