Jessica began her broadcasting career at WAOW-TV in Wausau, Wisconsin, where she worked as a reporter, anchor, and managing editor. She then moved to KRDO-AM/FM/TV in Colorado Springs, Colorado, serving as a weekend anchor and reporter. During her time in Colorado, her outstanding journalism was recognized with an Edward R. Murrow Award.
