Her career on ITV began on September 6, 2010, when she joined the newly launched ITV Breakfast program Daybreak as a weather forecaster and environment correspondent, working alongside Kirsty McCabe.

Following McCabe’s departure on February 7, 2012, Lucy became the sole weather forecaster for the program. She eventually left Daybreak on August 2, 2012.
