Twista Biography
Twista (born November 27, 1973) is an American rapper best known for his chopper-style delivery and for once holding the Guinness World Records title as the fastest English-speaking rapper. In 1992, he achieved the feat by pronouncing 598 syllables in 55 seconds.
In 1997, following his appearance on Do or Die’s hit single “Po Pimp,” produced by the Legendary Traxster, Twista signed with Big Beat Records and Atlantic Records. He released his third studio album, Adrenaline Rush, in 1998 and formed the rap group Speedknot Mobstaz the same year.
Twista reached mainstream success in 2004 when his album Kamikaze topped the U.S. Billboard 200, driven by the Billboard Hot 100 number-one single “Slow Jamz,” featuring Kanye West and Jamie Foxx.
