Cher graduated from the Marymount School of New York in 1992, a prestigious college preparatory Catholic high school for girls located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. She furthered her education at New York University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism with a minor in political science.
Her career trajectory took off after hosting Mornings @ GMA, a now-defunct morning show on GMA Network from 1998 to 1999. In January 2005, Cher joined KTLA in Los Angeles, where she has since garnered acclaim, winning 9 Emmy Awards for news journalism, including 5 consecutive wins from 2012 to 2017, and receiving 5 Golden Mike Awards.
