Hanna Battah (born May 6, 1993) is an American television journalist and news anchor currently serving as a co-anchor of ABC News programs World News Now and Good Morning America First Look.
Before joining ABC News, Battah worked for KDFW-TV in Dallas, Texas, where she anchored afternoon and early-evening newscasts and co-anchored The Ten, an unscripted program featuring wide-ranging live interviews.
During her seven years in Dallas, Battah covered major breaking news events, including the 2024 United States presidential election results, as well as the catastrophic central Texas flood disaster. Battah’s reporting has taken her across the United States, from Midwest state legislatures to wildfire front lines on the West Coast and the tense U.S. southern border.
Earlier in her career, Battah served as an anchor and reporter for KBAK-TV and KBFX-TV in Bakersfield, California. She began her journalism career as an anchor and multimedia journalist at KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri, after reporting on state politics for Missouri Digital News in Jefferson City.
In 2018, Battah received a Lone Star Emmy nomination for her team’s live coverage of a vehicle attack on their station that prompted a bomb squad response.
Battah graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism, one of the most prominent journalism schools in the United States.
