She joined Fox 4 in June 2018 as a weekend morning anchor on the Good Day team and was promoted to the weekday Good Day team just 3 months later. Previously before, Battah served as an afternoon anchor and evening reporter at KBAK/ KBFX in Bakersfield, CA for 2 years and four months.
There, Battah covered local politics, breaking news, and statewide stories. In 2017, Battah traveled to Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties to cover the state’s largest wildfire ever. She served alongside fire crews in full gear to get first-hand glimpses of the flames. Later on, Battah worked as a general assignment reporter and anchor for the NBC affiliate in Columbia, Mo.
She went on to cover a few projects across the state, including former President Obama’s visit to Kansas City, the 2015 World Series, as well as the recovery process following the devastating Joplin tornado in 2011.
The Kansas City Press Club awarded Battah the Heart of America Gold Award for her work on reports about the city’s rebuilding after the deadly event.
