Rich Tettemer Biography
Rich Tettemer (born in August 1961) is an American news anchor and reporter who currently holds the role of anchoring the weekday morning and noon editions of 22News. He first joined WWLP in April of 1988 as the sports director. Before his tenure at 22News, Rich served as the weekend sports anchor and reporter at KODE-TV in Joplin, Missouri, and as a sports editor for WFLA-TV in Florida. Rich is an alumnus of the University of South Florida in Tampa, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications and Broadcasting.
Throughout his time at 22News, he was recognized for his outstanding work, being voted as the Best Sportscaster by the readers of the Springfield Advocate and the Valley Advocate. Moreover, Rich has received 13 Associated Press Awards from 1994 through 2006.
His dedication extends to serving as the co-host of the Children’s Miracle Network Telethon since 1989. Rich currently resides in western Massachusetts with his wife, Valerie, and their three children.
