Don Lemon, born on March 1, 1966, is a prominent American television journalist renowned for his tenure as a CNN host from 2014 to 2023. He initiated his journalism career by anchoring weekend news programs at local television stations in Alabama and Pennsylvania.
Later, Lemon became a news correspondent for NBC, contributing to various programs including Today and NBC Nightly News. In 2002, he was honored with an Edward R. Murrow Award for his coverage of the capture of the Washington, D.C. snipers.
Additionally, Lemon was the recipient of three regional Emmy Awards for his work on a special report on real estate in Chicago and a business feature on Craigslist. In 2006, Lemon joined CNN, initially serving as a correspondent before gaining prominence as the host of Don Lemon Tonight from 2014 to 2022. Subsequently, he co-hosted CNN This Morning alongside Kaitlan Collins and Poppy Harlow.
