Carole Rogers (born September 15, 1958) is an American journalist, oral historian, and poet. She is the eldest child and only daughter of country music legend Kenny Rogers, who died on March 20, 2020, at the age of 81, from natural causes.
Kenny Rogers was reportedly not in contact with his eldest child and did not play an active role in Carole’s upbringing due to an arrangement made with his first wife, Janice Gordon.
In addition to Carole, Rogers was the father of four sons. Following his passing, his children and family released a statement announcing his death, saying:
“The Rogers family is sad to announce that Kenny Rogers passed away last night at 10:25 p.m. at the age of 81. Rogers passed away peacefully at home from natural causes under the care of hospice and surrounded by his family.”

Kenny’s seven-decade career wound down in 2017, as he encountered health problems that included a diagnosis of bladder cancer. In May 2019, Kenny was battling bladder cancer — the same disease that caused him to retire from the public eye in the year 2018 According to Radar Online.
On March 20, 2020, Kenny died at the age of 81, while under hospice care at his home in Sandy Springs, Georgia. Kenny is interred in Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta.
